What a great day for a rally! The day was sunny and warm and the kids were excited to participate in the first riding rally of the year. Heidi Lemke, Molly Fitzpatrick, Greta and Maddy Muxworthy rode on a team with Ashley Stappenback as their horse manager. Maggie Lloyd rode on a scramble team. Our newest member, Carly Lloyd, visiting from Colorado, had a enjoyable first experience sharing a pony with Sophie Muxworthy on a scramble D1 walk/trot team with East Aurora Pony club.
At the awards ceremony we were treated to a little history lesson from Dick Lavalle, owner of Will-O-View Farm and host of the rally. He informed us that his local club, 4PenNy was founded in 1965 and has been hosting rallies ever since. He was glad to see the kids eagerly participating and being self-sufficient. Ann Farkas, DC of that club, did a wonderful job of organizing a logistically difficult operation. Thank you to the Lavalles and 4PenNy for a great rally!
